Lestats Coffee House, San Diego
| Lestats Coffee House is one of the most well known coffee shops in San Diego. They are particularly well know for having live entertainment 7 nights a week in their specially designed wing of Lestats. Many famous artists like Blink 182 and Jewel got their first break here. It's also the only coffee shop in San Diego that is open 24 hours a day, which is great for late night work or late night studying. The interior is very vintage and hip with some cool antique chairs and tables. Lestats is often very busy and has a very 'unique' melting pot of locals that hang there - makes for very interesting people watching! |
| However, for some reason, the coffee leaves a lot to be desired here - the coffee tasted a little strange to me, and the food was very average. Plenty of room in Lestats make it a great place to work or study though- free wireless internet really helps too, even though they could have a few more places to plug laptops in. They even have a mini-library of useful books (magazines, computer books and guides) which is a very cool idea - bonus points there! Parking can sometimes be a problem here though as they are located on the busy Adams avenue. Overall, Lestats is a great place to come for some evening entertainment! |
