Cream Coffee Bar, San Diego
| Wow. I think we have a new favorite coffee shop in San Diego! Yep, Cream coffee shop in University Heights really is excellent! I don't think we can think of a single bad thing about Cream - in my opinion it has it all. Cream is very modern and stylish, with a great orangey/brown cool brand. It's like how Starbucks wishes it could be. Lots of small tables and places to sit here to work or study and they have free wireless, and luckily there are many places to plug in thanks to the many power strips around. It's very popular here, and its usually very busy in Cream, but not so busy that you can't fit a seat and table. |
| The coffee at Cream is brewed by Cafe Moto, and is its usual great self- they have very tasty 'drinking chocolate' to compliment it. The food is wonderful here and very reasonably priced, particularly the sandwiches - $5.50 for a great sandwich with chips and pickles - the turkey and avocado was one of the best I have ever had in a coffee shop actually! Breakfast is good here too, the breakfast croissant is definitely worth trying. They also have beer and wine here. Cream also stays open pretty late too and doesn't close until 11pm. Even the bathrooms are stylish and spotless - so nice that you could hang out in them! Overall, definite thumbs up for Cream - check them out, like now! |
