The Bean Bar, San Diego
| This was once a McDonalds drive-thru. So what better thing to turn it into than a drive-thru coffeeshop! And The Bean Bar have certainly done a great job with this idea - a very convenient area right in the Sports Arena area gets them lots of visitors. And there coffee is great too - in fact they recently won an award for best coffee in San Diego - a very prestigous award! The free wireless internet is always a plus, although they have limited food selection. Great crepes though - very tasty. Very reasonable coffee - a medium coffee is only $1.65 and their espresso drinks are equally reasonable. |
| The Bean Bar is not just a good drive-thru, it actually has a very cool, although small, modernistic interior. There is plenty of room outside, complete with firepit! Bands sometimes play in the summer months, but opening hours are shortened in the winter. The store and brand looks so good, you would be forgiven for thinking that the Bean Bar was a big chain in competition with Starbucks! |
